When I read stories I can get a vision of what the author is describing. It's not an image but I can sense it. While reading your birth story I could sense your emotion, but it also created scenery for me. I imagined the room you were in, the voices, the sounds of your baby girl, the surroundings when you first found out.

I can't see images but I can still create surroundings. I just build them in a different way. Your words created a place in my mind. It's really hard to describe how scenery developes in my mind. I can create places and sense things it's just not visually.

As I was writing I kept wanting to use the words like see, picture or visulize but now I find myself looking for new words to use. I want to continue to use those words because I can visulize just in a different way. I can draw a tree from memory, I can picture what my bedroom looks like, I can built scenery and characters when I read a story. Just because it's not an image doesn't mean it don't exist in my mind.

I often attach feelings to inanimate objects. Not in so odd intense I want to romance it way, but I will describe something as serene, or intense, it seems to not just help remember something, it seems to also work well for writing about it as well. I enjoyed reading what you have written. It has been a long time since I tried my hand at fiction writing, I used to do it all the time, and somehow I just let it slip away.

Thanks for posting this, it's helped reassure me that I might actually be able to write and draw without having the capacity to create mental imagery. I guess rather than 'imagine' things, I can conceptualise them instead and then use this as the foundation of my output. Still not sure with the art thing, aside from maybe using computers to be able to just stick things on canvas so I can see it, then keep editing it over and over until it looks like what I think I'd like it to look like.

Thank you and you gotta get writing again mister!

Then I would have to master time management! I do actually create these things, just happen to stay in my head! I wish I could type faster, I can't keep up with my stream of consciousness...need a think to text interface!
