I use Pinterest for everything. It is like a prosthetic minds eye. I find audio description hard to follow and I also find it hard to express myself verbally when describing something visual so Pinterest boards as my go to for expressing myself and for pinning things people say to me that I would not visually remember.
Does anyone else use a social media site to keep their head straight?

I tried Pinterest and a few other sites, and they just overwhelm me! I can get stuck on one image for such a long period of time I have to avoid them to get anything done hahaha.

I've never tried pinterest, but I find I do forget things I have seen, so I have a very well orgainsed favourites bar in my browser.

Ah that is a pity it doesn't work for you. If I am feeling anxious I sit and scroll through my Pin boards to calm down.

I do use Pinterest occasionally. I mainly use it so save recipes or craft projects for the kids. Sometimes I don't access it for months at a time. I pinned a recipe this week but I haven't looked at anything I saved in over 2-3 months. I mainly go online with my phone or occasionally a tablet and have quite a bit bookmarked there. I usually just use the Internet for short periods of time. I guess that's why I use my phone a lot. On average I spend about 30-60 minutes a day on my phone. Though more recently since I have been learning about aphantasia.

my book marks bar is a huge unwieldy list but i know roughly whats where. As for pintrest i have tried it but did not get on but i now have new insight into me and my try again. one of the problems i have and with faceook as well is i get lost in links and end up stalking other people's accounts listings etc and forget why i was there in the first pace.

1200 pins and counting... I often pin diy type custom automotive type project ideas for months. It helps me learn, otherwise it's hard, well pretty much impossible for me to retain the information. I can group ideas little by little when I have time, review the pins, and drill down to the sites with the original information, how to, or youtube video that I pinned. I'd say it is actually bookmarking, just more visual. Here is my Board... www.pinterest.com/5erdave/

I adore pinterest, and before pinterest, all the way back to middle school, I had folder upon folders filled with photos, illustrations, paintings, etc of everything visual I loved. Fashion, favorite artists, landscapes, drawing guides, starscapes, etc. I think now my obsession with collecting pictures is subconsciously knowing I can't visualize them again, so I need to store them somewhere else.

I have 3,100 pins so far and I use pinterest nearly daily, though sometimes for only 5 min.
